Inquisitors: Accountability That Keeps The Force Human

IMPERIAL CITY, GALACTIC STAR — The Imperial Supreme Court today detailed the work of its reformed Inquisitorius — not the hunters of the old Empire, purged on NI 1, but licensed auditors, counselors, and wellness officers who ensure Force users remain safe, lawful, and worthy of public trust.

The reform was essential to unlocking human potential safely. Historical data proved that unchecked power corrupts. Her Majesty’s solution was not to suppress power, but to surround it with transparency, therapy, and peer accountability.

What The Inquisition Does — Every Day:

  • For Knights — Partnership, Not Policing: Every Imperial Knight is paired 1:1 with a dedicated Inquisitor — a licensed therapist and duty-partner who conducts daily wellness checks, mission debriefs, and ethics counsel. They eat together, train together, walk the Star together. If a Knight struggles, their Inquisitor grounds them before crisis. Result: 22 months without an uncontrolled incident.
  • For Registered Citizens — Help To Stay Legal: Inquisitors administer the Force Practitioner Registry (Leia’s Law, NI 5) through friendly, scheduled compliance visits. They arrive in grey-black coat with ID and holo-recorder visible, confirm your card, answer questions, file a two-minute summary. Compliance keeps you protected under law.
  • For The Public — Transparency: All Knights operate by invitation of local councils, with after-action summaries filed to the Supreme Court. No lightsabers. No Force use on duty while serving as Inquisitor. No one is above review — the Charter requires even the Empress to submit.
  • For The Future — Training That Works: Suppression creates Vaders. Isolation creates Dookus. The NGE model proves that love, family, and belonging reduce Dark Side risk when paired with professional mental-health support and a brother or sister who will stop you.

“An Inquisitor’s job is to make sure a Knight never has to be killed by his own squad,” said Chief Auditor, Office of Public Trust. “We are there so that if the whisper comes — ‘you are above law, you are chosen’ — there is already a human voice in the room who knows their spouse’s name, their child’s birthday, and their duty. That is accountability. That is how we keep the Force human.”

Last quarter Inquisitors completed 1,240 wellness audits, 317 Registry support visits, and 42 community outreach briefings. Zero findings of systemic corruption. Public trust in Force oversight is at a 23-year high.

Citizenship Notice: If you are Force-sensitive, registry is not punishment. Visit your sector Civic Office or HoloNet//NGE.JUSTICE//REGISTRY-COMPLIANCE for a plain-language guide. If an Inquisitor visits, ask to see ID and recorder — transparency protects both parties.
